We all know Disney has great aim when flinging pixie dust, yet they still manage to surprise me with their sparkly, magical happy thought making.
And, if my suitcase packed full of shiny new things I’ve never worn before (because yoga pants) is any indicator, the next four days will be a whirlwind of well-dressed awesome. Because when you get an invite to attend not one, but two red carpet premieres, you pretty up a little. No really. I even shaved my other leg.
In addition to getting an inside look at Thor: The Dark World from the stars themselves – interviews with Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Jaimie Alexander (Lady Sif) and Tangled‘s Zachary Levi (Fandral) are planned – we’ll also go behind the scenes, touring the “Thor: Treasures of Asgard” exhibit at Disneyland.
Dibs on the Mjolnir. And Loki. Just saying.
The red carpet premiere of Thor will follow at the El Capitan Theatre, and yes, I practiced wearing my fierce high heels around the house, since nobody wants to see a girl wobbling around like a newborn calf, much less fancy folks like Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Jeremy Renner, Clark Gregg, Sebastian Stan, Karen Gillan (AMYPONDYAY!), Christopher Eccleston, Chris Hardwick, and Stan Lee, among an illustrious list of others who have all confirmed they’ll be there or be square.
No pressure, right?
Here’s hoping the gods decide to bless me with balance.

More sneek peekery and silver screen magic will follow with a press day planned at Disney Toon Studios for the in-home release of Planes and Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United, plus a screening of an upcoming – and not yet aired – episode of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
A red carpet premiere of the Disney-distributed DreamWorks film, Delivery Man, will follow on a subsequent evening, along with interviews with Vince Vaughn (David Wozniak), Chris Pratt (Brett) and The Avengers’ Cobie Smulders (Emma).
