runDisney announces The Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend

runDisney-Avengers-Super-Heroes-Half-Marathon-WeekendRunners assemble!

runDisney just announced an all-new race event minutes ago, inviting runners everywhere to #smashthehalf in what might be the most Marvel-ous race ever.

The Avengers Super Heroes Half Marathon Weekend will go down from Nov. 14-16, 2014 at Disneyland. In addition to featuring the titular half marathon, the weekend will also feature a 5k and kids races, and be eligible for the Coast-to-Coast Challenge, bringing a long-awaited Fall event to the West Coast while actually making our wallets cry all at the same time. (Some of us are still recovering from the Dopey Challenge and Glass Slipper Challenge.)

Still.

You know we’re totally going to answer the call. I mean, The Avengers team – Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye and Tony Stark – are pretty hard to resist. And I hear you don’t want to make the Hulk mad. Because. Well, you know. Besides, if you start saving up those pennies now…

Until then, the official announcement video:

Tell runDisney who you’ll be running as on Twitter (I call Nick Fury!), and join them on Facebook for race weekend updates. Most importantly, sign-up for runDisney email to be notified when registration goes on sale March 25 at noon EST.
