11 Disney Characters Who Will Always Be SingleDisney Sisters
February 14th is a day to celebrate being in love. February 15th is a day to celebrate being single.
Have you ever heard of Singles Awareness Day (aka S.A.D.)? Check it out, it’s a real thing!
According to this Singles Awareness website, here’s what the day is all about: “In response to the huge push by retailers for us to buy all of their candy, flowers and greeting cards, February 15 has been declared Singles Awareness Day! This is the day that all of the single people can proudly stand up and show that it is OKAY to be single! The goal of Singles Awareness Day is to let singles have celebrations, get-togethers, etc. and to exchange gifts with their single friends. The awareness day was established by single people who were just sick of feeling left out on Valentine’s Day, and support of the day is growing every year.”
Usually when you think of Disney, you think of love. ‘Happily ever after’ is a Disney theme that comes up more often than not in film after film. But when we really started looking at Disney movies, there are a lot of singles not to be ignored. We’re not just talking about Disney Villains, of course; they’re EVIL! But there are plenty of other Disney characters who will be celebrating Singles Awareness Day this year — again!
We’ve come up with a list of famous Disney singles and why we think they may be … unattached. Do you agree?

Disney characters that are single … for a reason!
Peter Pan 2 of 12
Peter is the original never-grow-up boy! You've heard of 'Peter Pan Syndrome," describing a man who's afraid of commitment and doesn't want to settle down, grow up, and accept responsibility. Not to mention that any girlfriend would get jealous of Peter's relationship with Tinker Bell, and the fact that he spends too much of his time outside of Wendy's window. No female could put up with his childish ways.
Dory 3 of 12
If you ask Dory when the last time she went on a date, it's likely that she won't remember. That's part of the problem. You could ask her out one minute and she'd forget the next. We're sure she's even stood a few fish up on dates before due to her bad memory. We think other sea creatures would get annoyed with her forgetful nature and any relationship would be very, very short term.
Captain Jack Sparrow 4 of 12
A master of self-promotion and self-interest, it's all about him -- savvy? In order to be successful in a relationship you must look out for the other person, not just yourself. Jack Sparrow's first love is the sea, his second his beloved ship the Black Pearl. You can see where we are going with this one; no woman wants to be third place in her pirate's heart. Actually she may be even lower down the list after buried treasure and a good rum.
Goofy 5 of 12
Although Goofy is one of the sweetest Disney characters of all time, we think he may be single because he's just too, well ... Goofy! Easily confused, naive, clumsy, and super-silly it would take a special lady to be able to tolerate all of his quirks.
Ugly Stepsisters 6 of 12
These sisters are ugly, but we're talking about their insides more than anything. Having such a wicked mother doesn't help either. If they could ever stop bickering with each other and take notes on how Cinderella behaves, they might have a chance to land a prince of their own ... but we wouldn't count on it!
Mad Hatter 7 of 12
He's just too mad for his own good! Obsessed with tea and too busy hanging with his friends, this gentleman is likely to stay single forever. Now please pass the jam!
Charlotte 8 of 12
Let's just say that she's a little bit of a drama queen! Can you say high-maintenance?! Charlotte is looking for love in all the wrong places, and quite frankly, she's trying way too hard which is an automatic turn-off to guys. If she could just get out of her own way, she'd be fine.
Baloo 9 of 12
Baloo spends his days eating, singing, dancing and scratching himself on trees. He takes life as it comes, one day at a time and doesn't seem to want to be tied down. He's a teddy bear, but still acts like a big kid. He loves the life he lives, which leads us to think he might be a career bachelor.
Grumpy 10 of 12
The answer is in the name. He's Grumpy. Unlike some of the other dwarves, this guy is just downright unpleasant to be around. Nobody wants to date a Debbie Downer, and he definitely looks at everything with a negative attitude. This is not the best way to attract a mate. Plus we think the seven dwarves may be workaholics; it's hard to find true love when you spend all day in the mines.
Princess Merida 11 of 12
This headstrong young lady is a one-of-a-kind princess! She doesn't need a man to prove her worth. She actually fought against being betrothed to a boy that she didn't love. This girl will find true love one day, but it will be on her own terms. Until then, Merida will remain single.
Chip ‘N’ Dale 12 of 12
These were the original "bros before ... girls" crew. These two chipmunks are nearly inseparable and count each other as their closest friends, until a female comes around. They have been known to have feelings for the same girl and battle each other for her affections. But overall, they are too involved in playing games, tricks, and telling jokes just like frat boys. They may never grow up, which makes neither of them a very good catch. One good thing is that they'll always have each other.
