‘Twas the Disneyfied Night Before Christmas (VIDEO)

Walt Disney World | Christmas‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house, not a creature was stirring, except Mickey Mouse.

As families everywhere merrily await Santa Claus to to embark on his annual globe trot, Mickey decided to dream up a little holiday magic. Because of course he did.

He recruited some familiar faces from every corner of Walt Disney World parks and resorts to join him in reciting “A Visit from St. Nicholas,” otherwise known as “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas,” and the results are magical.

One word: Richard.

One more word: Barbara.

Ok, ok, just one more: KERBELLEAST!

Yes, that’s totally made up. I didn’t want to spoil everything.

And while this particular reading doesn’t stray from the original work, it’s filmed in some pretty cool places around the parks. Disney fans will recognize all of them, though others are strictly (and excitingly) captured behind-the-scenes.

We read the timeless poem every year on Christmas Eve, though this Disneyfied version makes everything seem just a little bit happier. Because those visions of sugarplums might as well be pixie-dusted, don’t you think?
