Kate Moss’s only child, Lila Grace, turned 11 last week. The rarely glimpsed daughter of arguably the world’s most famous supermodel has been kept out of the public eye for most of her life. But if Lila has anything to do with it, this may all change! According to Kate, Lila has her eye on becoming the editor of Vogue!
“She’s watched The Devil Wears Prada ten times, and she’s got a desk in her room with a phone,” Kate tells Allure magazine. ”She puts a little outfit on and picks up the phone: ‘Hello, Miranda Priestly’s office.’”
“I say, ‘Lila, do you know who Miranda Priestly is in real life?’ But she just doesn’t care. She’s like, ‘Hello, Miranda Priestly’s office. Can you hold? Patrick Demarchelier on the line!’ I died when I heard her do it. So funny. She doesn’t have a clue who she is, but it’s word for word. She wants to be Anne Hathaway.”
Miranda Priestly is of course the fictional editor of Vogue in the movie; a woman who sacrifices everything for her job and rules the office with an iron grip. This is a woman who can cut someone dead with a look or ruin a career with a simple nod of the head. Meryl Streep plays the role with aplomb, delivering her lines in the calmest yet most threatening voice in the history of cinema!
It got me thinking about all of the horrible bosses that we have seen on screen. In honor of National Boss Day this weekend, I thought we could celebrate all those horrible bosses we are eternally grateful that we don’t work for!
