Alyssa Milano on Motherhood: "It Feels Evil How Fast it Goes"

Alyssa Milano seen in a pink and white maxi dress, as she enjoys a day out at the Farmer's Market with husband David Bugliari and son Milo in Los AngelesAlyssa Milano, 40, made headlines this week with her hilarious faux sex tape-slash-educational video on Syria. But she also dropped some truth on a completely different subject that really hit home to me.

The star of ABC’s Mistresses admitted that watching how fast her 2-year-old son Milo has gone from a baby to a full-fledged drum-playing toddler is, frankly, painful. Like really painful.

“He’s just getting big, which is kind of the craziest part about being a mother how truly fast it goes. It feels evil how fast it goes. You just want them to be little and cuddly.”

That sentiment is something I can 100% relate to. I find every new stage thrilling for a split second — then the bittersweetness floods in. Time passing is never more obvious than with your kids who evolve in seconds before your eyes.

Alyssa flat-out admits she wants another baby, which I think is pretty courageous.

Who knows how easy — or not easy — it was for her the first time around. She is 40. Who knows if being pregnant will work with her career plans. But I love her honesty on the subject.

She says that she “can’t imagine” not giving Milo a sibling, partially because she and her brother are so close.

Or maybe, this is her way of half-revealing the fact that baby number two is already on the way?

Alyssa has a bit of a break this fall after the Mistresses finale and before she hosts Project Runway All Stars. So … I say, look out for an “over-the-moon” tweet sooner rather than later.
