Amy Adams and Russell Crowe brave the rain at 'Man of Steel' premiere in UKSuzanne Jannese
When the stars have a movie to celebrate they don’t let a little thing like rain get in their way. Especially where Superman is concerned!
At the European premiere of the movie ‘Man of Steel’, Amy Adams and Russell Crowe arrived on the red carpet alongside the film’s director Zack Snyder and the star of the film, Henry Cavill.
Crowe plays Superman’s Dad and said that the role opened him up to new experiences as a parent – when the baby playing his son unloaded a handful of his own essential Kryptonian material in Crowe’s hand! Sweetly, Cavill had met Crowe many years before, when Crowe had filmed scenes for ‘Proof of Life’ at Cavill’s then school. Cavill had plucked up the courage to talk to Crowe, who then had sent him a gift when he returned home to Australia. Now, Cavill gets to play his son, in his biggest screen role to date.
Perhaps you saw Cavill in ‘The Tudors’ or ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’? But ‘Man of Steel’ is the film to set his star on the ascent. There are already plans for a sequel.
Meanwhile Amy, who plays Lois Lane said that being a parent helped her be less concerned with how she looked when she was auditioning. As for Dad-of-two Crowe, he admitted he has never watched a Superman film before. Russell – now’s your chance!
