Anna Faris Goes Back to TV “For Son Jack”

Anna Faris attends the CW, CBS and Showtime 2013 summer TCA party at 9900 Wilshire Blvd in Los AngelesA working mom’s schedule is never easy — especially for a new mom like Scary Movie star Anna Faris, who does not want to be away from 11-month-old son Jack for a minute.

Faris is married to Parks and Recreation‘s Chris Pratt, and the two of them make a serious power comedy duo. If you are not familiar with Faris’ career-making cameo as a ditzy actress in Lost in Translation, stop reading immediately and watch it.

The actress has been steadily making a name for herself on the big screen, but for her next project she’s done a 180 and will be starring in the CBS sitcom called Mom, from the creator of Two And a Half Men, Chuck Lorre.

Jack’s arrival has given her a completely new perspective on work. She told the audience at a recent Television Critic’s Association event that her decision had a lot to do with the fact that a sitcom would allow her more time with her son.

“It makes me crazy when I’m not holding him,” she told US Weekly in May.

Yes, she also loves the character that she gets to play. Christy is a single, newly sober mom. “She’s a mess, which is very much like me,” she joked at the TCA discussion. It was recently announced that Justin Long was added to the cast as a new love interest.

While Anna’s hitting the small screen, Chris is getting shredded up for a new role headlining Marvel Comics’ Guardians of the Galaxy. He posted a shirtless selfie on Instagram earlier this summer with the caption “Six months no beer. Kinda douchey to post this, but my brother made me.”

A new sit-com and a husband with six-pack abs? Sounds like a win-win for Anna.
