Anna Paquin Reveals the Names of Her Twins and They’re Not That Weird

By Sarah Bernard |

MOMMY DUTY! 'True Blood star' Anna Paquin multitasks while holding and pushing her twin babies along Abbot Kinney Blvd in VeniceWell, actually it was Anna’s husband and “True Blood” co-star Stephen Moyer who finally let the world in on their baby news. At the season 6 premiere of the HBO series the proud dad talked to a reporter about his plans for Father’s Day. He said will be “hanging out with . . . Charlie and Poppy.”

With all the secrecy I was worried that something horribly vampire-esque was in the works, maybe to commemorate where their parents met. I was bracing myself for “Sookie Rainbow” or “Edward Cullen” — I know, wrong vampires.

But Charlie and Poppy are completely upstanding and adorable. Here’s another reason why the names are so sweet: Moyer has two children from a previous relationship, son Billy, 12, and a 10-year-old daughter named Lilac. The fact that Charlie and Poppy — a traditional boy name, a flower girl name – mirror Billy and Lilac is a touching ode to the siblings.

Check out this gallery of twin moms who will probably be calling to ask the Moyer-Paquins for a play date, now that they know who to ask for.
