I don’t know about you, but I still have just a touch of the VMA fatigues. So much talk about Miley. Right now, if one of her songs comes on the radio, there is a good chance I will click through to another station.
I was curious when I heard about Postmodern Jukebox’s plans to create a “classier, twerk-free alternative” to Miley’s “We Can’t Stop.” Scott Bradlee detailed the process on his website and explains, “For me, the first step was to change the time signature of the song from 4/4 into 6/8 (meaning six eighth notes per measure) – you can hear a similar feel in some of the Platters’ hits, like ‘Only You’.”
So while I know there may be some trepidation to take yourself to a Miley Cyrus place, I am telling you — you will THANK ME for this. Promise. Robyn Adele Anderson is just amazing on the vocals.

After I heard this, I honestly couldn’t remember what Miley’s original version sounded like!
