With Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premiering September 24th, you’re probably thinking a lot about superheroes lately. I know I am. Of course, it helps that I have 2 superhero-obsessed sons. We talk about our favorite heroes all the time and speculate on what our own super powers might be. My 10-year-old son fancies himself an Iron Man. He’s bright with an irreverent sense of humor. My teenager seems a lot like Spider-Man to me. Maybe all teenage boys have a little Peter Parker in them? Personally, I strive to live up to the ideals and virtues of Captain America, minus the super-soldier serum.
What about you and your kids? If you were a Marvel superhero, who would you be?
There are so many cool superheroes to choose from. And most of them are pretty unique and multi-faceted. Which one are you the most like? Which talents and characteristics do you already possess?
Take a look!
Which Marvel Superhero Are You? 1 of 10
Hulk 2 of 10
Do you occasionally experience irrepressible fits of rage that transform your normally thoughtful self into an invulnerable monster with superhuman strength? You could be The Hulk. Check a mirror. Are you green? You are definitely The Hulk. Those with dual personalities who have a hard time controlling their anger, but do their best to channel it towards enemies, are Hulk-like heroes.
Iron Man 3 of 10
You're Iron Man.
Captain America 4 of 10
The super soldier serum that turned Steve Rogers into Captain America gave him tremendous agility, superior strength, and fighting skills that are second to none. But it is Steve Roger's character, integrity, and leadership that have made him an American hero. Lucky for him, he was just born with that. Sound familiar? Think you've got what it takes to be Captain America? Think again. The iconic shield he carries is made out of vibranium, and it is very hard to come by.
Wolverine 5 of 10
Have you always felt like you don't fit in? Maybe you are a mutant. Wolverine, one of Marvel's famed X-Men, was born with animal-like instincts and a healing factor that makes him very hard to kill. Are you hardy? Haven't called in sick all year? Do you have keen senses? Oh my gosh. YOU ARE WOLVERINE!
Pro Tip: Upgrade those bone claws to adamantium as soon as you can.
Invisible Woman 6 of 10
Are you more comfortable observing unwatched rather than being the center of attention? It's the same with Sue Storm, the shy Invisible Woman. She can turn herself invisible as well as project force fields of virtually limitless size and strength. It comes in handy. Also, are you strangely attracted to Mr. Fantastic? Then you are definitely the Invisible Woman because Sue Storm married him.
Spider-Man 7 of 10
Peter Parker is responsible, courageous, and good. Thanks to a radioactive spider bite, he can also cling to things, shoot webs, and has super strength, speed, and reflexes. Does that sound like you? Congratulations! You're Spidey. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility.
Thor 8 of 10
Thor Odinson is the Norse god of thunder and self-proclaimed protector of Earth. He alone is worthy to wield the magical hammer, Mjolnir. He is one of the strongest and most powerful heroes in the Marvel Universe, and he can call down lightning, thunder, wind, and rain. A great warrior and incredibly loyal, Thor can be a little arrogant. But what can he say? He is a god. Do people sometimes describe you this way? You could be Thor.
Magneto 9 of 10
One of the world's most powerful mutants, Magneto can manipulate magnetic fields and control all types of metal with his mind. He's also power-hungry, vengeful, and pro-mutant in a very anti-human way. Once an ally of Professor Charles Xavier, Magneto went rogue in an effort to lead mutants in an uprising against all of us normal humans. Rude! If you have characteristics in common with Magneto, you better check yourself before you wreck yourself.
Agent Coulson 10 of 10
Maybe you're just an ordinary person — an ordinary person with good instincts, a wry sense of humor, and a flair for management. You could be Agent Phil Coulson. Sure he's just a "regular guy," but S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division) couldn't function without Agent Coulson's particular brand of genius for overseeing not just superheroes but also their alter egos. After all, who (besides Pepper Potts) can tell Tony Stark what to do? Agent Coulson. That's who.
