It’s a Boy for Fergie and Josh Duhamel

fergie-josh-duhamelFergie gave birth to a son, Axl Jack Duhamel, today, the singer’s rep confirmed to People.

Fergie’s husband, actor Josh Duhamel, announced on Live! With Kelly and Michael in July that they were expecting a little boy. Fergie got ready for the expansion of their family earlier this month by legally changing her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel.

As for the 7 lbs., 10 oz. baby’s very rock and roll first name, Axl, Duhamel told People in July that they were keeping that a secret for a reason, even from Fergie’s mom:

“Some people may not like it, some people may think it’s really cool, but we don’t really care — that’s why we’re not telling anybody…That way you don’t feel like you’re second-guessing yourself. It’s between us — it’s a sacred thing…[The name is] kind of traditional, kind of not. My wife is a little rock and roll, so she’s a little bit more daring in that department than I am. We decided on a name that we both really love and I think will suit this child.”

Fergie and Josh were out and about up until Axl’s birth, with Fergie being a true example of a “radiant mom-to-be.”

She hung out with some of her fellow Black Eyed Peas bandmates earlier in the month.

Yesterday, Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan stopped by their house to help Zoe, their Daschund, prepare for the baby’s arrival.

No word on whether baby Axl’s first toy will be a guitar, but it’s a safe bet that he’ll have a musical childhood. Congratulations to the Duhamel family on Axl Jack’s safe arrival.
