There’s a new kid in town for Jessica Simpson and fiance Eric Johnson.

Simpson gave birth to son Ace Knute via scheduled C-section on Sunday in Los Angeles.

“Ace Knute (pronounced Ka-nute) Johnson has arrived! Mom and baby are doing great,” Simpson’s rep told Us magazine. “Jessica, Eric and Maxwell are thrilled to welcome the new addition to their family.”

Baby Ace will join sister Maxwell Drew, 14 months old. His Swedish middle name honors Johnson’s paternal grandfather, Knute Johnson.

Jessica has documented her pregnancy progress on Twitter, including sweet shots of her life at home with Johnson and Maxwell. Her sense of humor clearly remained intact, as she tweeted a photo of herself in early June, sporting a sweater with a hot air balloon on the front on her belly, a seriously silly expression on her face, and one word: “Metaphor.”

Jessica has said that she and Johnson hope to marry soon, but her pregnancies keep getting in the way. For now, keep an eye on Twitter for a possible first look at baby Ace Knute.
