Kim Zolciak Finally Shares Photos of Her Twins, But Why Did It Take Her So Long?Sunny Chanel
Kim Zolciak finally shared photos of her twins Kaia and Kane. Her brand new bundles of joy were born back on November 25th, but she waited over a month to reveal them to the world. The mom of six did so in a very public way, giving an exclusive to Life & Style Weekly.
Kim and the twins share the cover with “Miley’s Secret Life Exposed,” how “Kim (Kardashian) Dropped 21k on a Facial,” and how “Nicole (Richie) is Wasting Away.” But we have to wonder, why did Kim wait so long to share her babies?
Having a baby while being in the public eye is a tough situation to be in. Kim’s non-celebrity peers debut their new family additions thru mailed baby announcements or by posting a photo on their personal Facebook page. Being a celebrity makes the business of sharing that first photo far more complicated … and lucrative. Some celebrities opt to get paid for their baby’s first photo; Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt famously donated their large photo fee when Shiloh and the twins were born to charity. Others stars opted to issue their own photo over social media like how Beyonce and Jay Z debuted Blue Ivy. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West opted to keep the hype within the family, debuting their baby North West’s photo on Kim’s mother’s talk show.
Celebrities have to make the decision of how they want to release their first photos, otherwise they’ll have the paparazzi to deal with. It’s not uncommon for professional photographers to try desperately to get the first shot, which can be extremely overwhelming for new moms.
In Kim Zocliak’s case, she went with sharing the photos with the popular tabloid. However, this must have been hard for her, as she’s an avid Twitter and Instagram user, so she had to really show restraint not to post pics of the twins over the last month. She shared images of her other children, her multiple Christmas trees, and her post-baby body, but she was careful not to share Kaia and Kane’s photos until Life & Style got their issue on the stands. I’m sure that now that the conditions of her contract with them have been fulfilled, we’ll be seeing lots more photos of the twins on Kim’s social media feeds.
So, what would YOU do if you were a celebrity? Would you take a lucrative deal from a magazine for that first photo or would you issue a photo via your own social media channels?
