Emeli Sande Concert Live on Austin City Limits

Have You Met Emeli Sande? Her name may not ring a bell yet to some of you, but I promise you know the tunes of Emeli Sande. The Scottish singer has been poised for breakthrough success for years and she is finally starting to find it. Many of us us first heard of Emeli when we ran to the internet to find out who was singing the hook on Wiley’s version of “I Could Never Be Your Woman” Now we crank up the radio when “Next to Me” comes on.

She is a mega star in the UK where her album, Our Version of Events, was the number one album of 2012. Emeli has even broken chart-topping records in the UK that were previously held by The Beatles.

The singer is eager to cross the pond and find success in US markets. In an interview with Reuters Television she candidly discusses her feelings about trying to make it in America.

“I’m really excited about taking music over to the States because it’s a brand new challenge,” she said.

“There are different formats over there so you have to understand the market, the people, you really have to take into account how massive the place is … It’s a brand new adventure and it’s chapter two of this whole big thing.”

Austin City Limits wants to be a part of helping introduce Emeli to American audiences. They just announced they will live stream her taping on Sunday, July 7th. All fans (and future fans) need to do is simply head over to ACL’s YouTube page and they can watch the live show as it is recorded at famous Moody Theater in downtown Austin.
