Adele has been renting a Beverly Hills home with a great musical history. Now this home can be yours for the asking price of $25.58 million smackeroos. The gated estate tucked in on Heather Road in Beverly Hills was designed for Bert Lahr who was famous for his vaudeville and Broadway work. You probably know him best as the Cowardly Lion from The Wizard of Oz. The home has also been owned by Betty Grable and Paul McCartney.
According to the property listing the home “emulates a supreme Connecticut / Hampton residence”. The inside is the definition of spacious and the outdoors is a dream retreat, “with abundant large terraces, an outdoor kitchen, pool, spa, tennis court, koi pond, sports court, putting green, a 2-lane vintage inspired bowling alley, game room, wet bar and powder room.”
No stranger to great digs, Adele famously rented a sprawling mansion in West Sussex for £15,000 a month before deciding that the smog of nearby London was wrecking serious havoc on her voice. Adele and family had been renting the Beverly Hills estate while a beach front property in Brighton underwent renovations. She and her partner, Simon Konecki, purchased a £2.5 million home in Brighton last March.
Adele has recently been spotted in Brighton walking the Promenade with her new son Angelo in a stroller. Looks like she and the family are settling in perfectly. I wonder how those “secret wedding plans” for the fall are coming along…
