Prince George Already Has a Nickname According to Prince CharlesSarah Bernard
On a visit to the Whitstable Oyster Festival in Kent this week the new baby was all well-wishers wanted to talk about with the Prince of Wales.
The excited first-time grandpa told locals that the third in line for the thrown will have the nickname Georgie “in no time.”
There was a precedent, you see. Prince George, Duke of Kent was known as “Georgie.” So it’s a family thing. Let’s just hope there’s no “Porgie” to go with it.
Prince Charles also remarked that baby George is “very loud!” (Or maybe he’s not so fond of his nickname?)
His forceful cries are fast becoming his trademark. When Prince William introduced his son to the world on the steps of the Lido Wing, his exact words were, “He’s got a set of lungs on him, that’s for sure.”
Funny, since he looked completely calm and serene, all wrapped up in his little white blanket. Guess he saves his disapproval for inside the palace.
