Prince William Sandbags on Valentine’s Day—And Kate Doesn’t Mind!

Prince William and Prince Harry to the rescue! The 2 princes joined troops who were trying to protect homes from rainstorms in Datchet, Berkshire. With heavy rains and winds pelting southern Britain, river levels are expected to rise. The Environment Agency has made 30,000 sandbags for areas surrounding the Thames.

William and Harry tossed and piled sandbags to fight the rising floodwater and help keep homes safe and dry. A spokesman from Kensington Palace said: “They wanted to show their support for the flood victims and have joined the armed forces relief effort.”

Meanwhile, Kate visited Northolt High School in London and looked absolutely radiant and happy. I’m sure William made it home in time to celebrate Valentine’s Day with her.

I don't always sandbag villages in Berkshire. . . but when I do I stop the rain mid-sky with my lady-killing smile.

It looks like Harry is giving a thumb's up to these servicemen. Working along side the troops is a good way to earn their respect. So he can rule them.

Notice how the rain-soaked pants look a little like jodhpurs tucked into riding boots. He's probably the only person in this sandbagging operation who actually owns jodhpurs.

No one is deferring to his Royal Highness in this action shot. William stands shoulder to shoulder with troops as they pile on the sandbags against rising flood waters.

Gorgeous Kate had her own stuff to do on Valentine's Day. She visited Northolt High School in London and looked radiant and happy. She must be proud of her husband for lending a hand in Datchet.
