Queen Elizabeth II Puts All Other Celeb Photobombs to Shame

Apparently, Her Royal Highness was feeling a bit cheeky today. Because while attending the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, she pretty much made everyone’s lives when she found herself caught in a royal photobomb.

After their 4-0 win over Malaysia, the “Hockeyroos” (an Australian women’s hockey team) were shocked to see the Queen approaching for an unscheduled visit. Naturally, since it’s 2014, these quick-thinking ladies whipped out their phones and started snapping away — and we couldn’t be more glad that they did! Look at that smile! Just makes you want to giggle over a cup of Earl Grey, doesn’t it?

So we’re going to make a pretty big statement here … but we think this is quite possibly one of the best celebrity photobombs of all time. We know, we know! She’s up against some pretty stiff competition (Jennifer Lawrence and Zach Braff are pretty much career celebrity photobombists at this point). But that face, people! We can’t.

So for some giggles, let’s revisit her competition with some of the all-time best celebrity photobombs on record, shall we?

We told you she was adorable, right? Okay, moving on ...

Kate gives her grandmother-in-law a run for her money with this fun, perfectly timed shot captured by Reddit user, stasechatus while in New Zealand this past April.
Zach Braff 3 of 8
Let's face it. Wedding photos can be pretty boring. But then again, most of them don't feature Zach Braff! This couple, photographed by Sascha Reinking, were visiting from Germany when this shot was taken ...

... and we're guessing they now have a pretty unrealistic idea of the types of people one normally encounters in Times Square.

The Biebs 4 of 8
Remember that time Justin Bieber was likeable? Yeah, we almost didn't either. But then we stumbled upon this gem from the 2011 MTV VMAs and it almost made us forget about the car races, the arrests, the parties, oh and that time he said he hoped Anne Frank would have been a Bieleber.

We said, almost.

Places you don't expect to run into a former Beatle and one of the most famous investors of our time? We'd say outside an ice cream shop in Omaha, Nebraska ranks pretty up there. But nevertheless, 16-year-old Tom White struck gold when he ran into them both (Paul was in town for a concert) and snapped this epic selfie of the living legends ... gaining thousands of "likes" in mere hours.

J-Law and Tay Swift 6 of 8
There are many things Jennifer Lawrence excels at (like charming the pants off of Hollywood and every woman between the ages of 13 and 45). But her photobombing skills are so on-point it's getting slightly ridiculous. Her best work yet? The 2014 Golden Globes in January where she snuck up on an unsuspecting Taylor Swift and solidified her spot as our favorite girlfriend we never had.

Kevin Spacey 7 of 8
New Yorker Christina Sander wasn't expecting to (literally) run in to a celeb while in Boston Common in May 2013, but it must have been her lucky day! As she stopped to pose in front of the George Washington Monument, she saw none other than American Beauty star Kevin Spacey running towards her. The best part? He ran up to her, stopped, posed, and yelled, "This is a photobomb!"

Yes, Kevin Spacey announced his photobomb. Extra points to him for cheese factor and general adorableness.

Bill Clinton 8 of 8
We can't help but chuckle at this one in which former President Clinton sneaks a peek at Kelly Clarkson before she sang "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at the 2013 inauguration of President Obama. That face was just made for a meme.

What do you think? Was Queen Elizabeth II’s the best celeb photobomb or are we just blinded by our love for Prince Harry and all things royal?
