Robert Downey Jr. Watched Captain America: The Winter Soldier with a Bunch of Kids on His Birthday

downeyLet the partaaaaay begin!!!

So said Robert Downey Jr. on his Facebook page when he invited a bunch of friends (including kids!) over to watch Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The Iron Man star turned 49 on Friday and decided he wanted to celebrate with some real fans. He said,

“What better way to celebrate my birthday than recognizing the cosmic miracle of Captain America 2 opening the same day. Gonna wrangle about 20 kids to watch it with and partaaaaaaaaay Marvel-style!”

Being Tony Stark has been good for Robert Downey Jr.

While some stars, like Chris Evans, struggle with conflicted feelings about becoming superstars off of big budget, highly commercial comic book blockbusters, Robert Downey Jr. remains grateful and gracious and happy to oblige his fans. Good for him.

Happy Birthday, Tony!
