Prince William Calls Son Baby George “a Little Bit of a Rascal”

Kate Middleton and Prince William appear from the hospital to greet the press and reveal their newborn son at St. Mary's Hospital in LondonHis personality is emerging! Prince William reveals that his nearly one-month-old son, a.k.a. The Most Famous Baby on the Planet (sorry Blue Ivy), is already acting familiar. It’s not his classy, fashionable mom or his beloved grandmother that George is resembling, though … it’s his famous uncle!

“He is a little bit of a rascal, I’ll put it that way,” the Duke of Cambridge told CNN, “so he either reminds me of my brother [Prince Harry] or me when I was younger, I’m not sure.”

Prince William also offered that baby George likes his “nappy” changed. Catherine is “doing very well” and their dog Lupo is “coping.”

In other words, life in the royal household seems remarkably normal and, well, unremarkable. Except, that is, for the fact that George likes his diapers changed. How many babies enjoy that?

William also acknowledged the couple’s desire to keep things low-key: “If I can do it myself, I’ll do it myself. I’m as independent as I want to be. I don’t like fuss.”

And for someone who doesn’t like fuss, one might imagine he found the hooplah surrounding George’s arrival more than overwhelming. Actually, William explained, he enjoyed every minute of the “big reveal” outside St. Mary’s Hospital.

“I think I was on such a high anyway and so was Catherine about George that really we were happy to show him off to whoever wanted to see him,” he said. “As any new parent knows, you’re only too happy to show off your new child and, you know, proclaim that he is the best-looking or the best everything.”

The interview airs on CNN September 15th as part of a special called Prince William’s Passion: New Father, New HopeCheck it out here!
