Four years ago the incomparable Queen Latifah sang “America the Beautiful” at the Super Bowl pre-game show. One comment I read that summed up her performance perfectly said that Queen Latifah “brought the church.” The Queen has been asked to return this year for the pre-game show and perform the same song.
It was a different kind of religious experience for Queen this last weekend as she officiated over the marriages of 33 couples at the Grammys® on Sunday.
The big game begins at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, live on Fox.
Super Bowl XLVIII will be held at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey where the Seattle Seahawks will face off against the Denver Broncos.
