Stars Count Down to Emmys With Pre-Award Show Parties

This is the first year The Hollywood Reporter has thrown a pre-Emmys party. The event was a combination celebration of the new fall TV season and their way of honoring all of this year’s Emmy nominees. Held at the Garden Terrace of Soho House in West Hollywood, the party had elbow-to-elbow celebrities.

We are excited about this weekend’s big show as well! Have you taken a look at the nominees and Caitlin’s predictions? Have you picked out what you are going to wear? Have you printed out your BINGO cards so you can look for the unexpected (and expected) moments within the show?

The stars kept it pretty casual for The Hollywood Reporter shindig, but it is nice to see the celebrations beginning! Who are you most excited about seeing on the red carpet?

Stars at The Hollywood Reporter Pre Emmys Party:

  • Kiernan Shipka 1 of 10
    AES-107464

A very grown up-looking Kiernan Shipka has been making us laugh this summer with her latest Child Star Psychologist video on Funny or Die. It's a serious shame Kiernan hasn't yet been nominated for her performance as Sally on AMC's Mad Men.

  • Allison Williams 2 of 10
    AES-107429

Allison is one of the stars of the often hilarious Girls on HBO. The show has been nominated for best comedy series. One of Allison's costars and the show's creator, Lena Dunham, was nominated for lead actress in a comedy series. I am just having some serious eyelash envy.

  • Stacy Keibler 3 of 10
    AES-107507

Stacy was trying on a new look at The Hollywood Reporter party: darker hair, darker lips. It's a big leap from the last time I saw Stacy, which was on my TV as a celebrity guest judge on Project Runway

  • Dot Jones 4 of 10
    AES-107421

I know I am not the only one, but whenever I see a cast member from Glee, I get a bit of a bottom lip quiver. I know this weekend is going to be hard for all of them, as there is an extensive tribute planned for Cory Monteith.

  • Darby Stanchfield 5 of 10
    AES-107485

It's official: I want hair like Darby's. When I see her on the hit show Scandal, I am always twitchy by how severe and sharp her hair looks. I know it is a character thing, but sheesh! I want to wake up every morning and have hair like this.

  • Katie Lowes 6 of 10
    AES-107480

I actually didn't recognize Katie at first in this photo. She looks so different with her hair pulled up and wearing such a vibrant color. I can't wait to see what happens next for Quinn on this season of Scandal. (The show returns on October 3rd.)

  • Jennifer Grey 7 of 10
    AES-107446

Jennifer was at the event with her husband, actor Clark Gregg. Clark will be starring in one of the most anticipated new shows of the season, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I just love that Jennifer was like, "Um. No. I am not putting my purse down so you can take my photo."

  • Cat Deeley 8 of 10
    AES-107476

Cat always wears the most interesting outfits on So You Think You Can Dance. This dress seems to be a print of barbed wire.

  • Judah Friedlander 9 of 10
    AES-107526

Judah has been on 30 Rock for seven years, and in those seven years he has not altered his comedy one bit. If anything, he has gotten funnier and more clever. The next project for Judah is a film called Ping Pong Summer staring Susan Sarandon.

  • Padma Lakshmi 10 of 10
    AES-107519

Now that the last episode of the latest Top Chef has aired, Padma can focus on promoting her new line of dishware. Her collection is now available at Bloomingdales.
