The Humans Show up for The Hobbit Premiere

The humans were out in full force at the LA premiere of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. Even though there is only one human in the second installment of Peter Jackson’s Hobbit trilogy, humans have always had a keen interest in Middle Earth and the LA premiere was no exception!

Benedict Cumberatch, Orlando Bloom, Evangeline Lilly and others were there to support the film and look glamorous in sharp suits and elegant dresses. The Desolation of Smaug will be in theaters December 13.

You won’t believe how nicely some of the dwarves clean up. They’re much taller and less bearded in real life. Take a look!

Evangeline Lilly plays the elf Tauriel in The Desolation of Smaug but in real life she used to date Dominic Monaghan who played the hobbit Merry in The Lord of the Rings trilogy. You don't see elves pairing up with hobbits much in Tolkien's world but in real life, it can happen!
