OMG, OMG, OMG!!!! Over the last couple of days, there have been rumors that the original stars of Star Wars would be participating in the new J.J. Abrams segment of the wildly beloved saga. After key actors were spotted in London at the same time, speculation that the stars of the first film would be involved was at an all time high. And now the rumors have been confirmed as TRUTH!
Thirty-eight years after the original Star Wars was released, Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2) will be taking on their iconic roles yet again.
The old-school cast will be joining the new cast that includes John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, and Max von Sydow. Plus John Williams will yet again be retuning to score the film.
“We are so excited to finally share the cast of Star Wars: Episode VII,” J.J. Abrams said. “It is both thrilling and surreal to watch the beloved original cast and these brilliant new performers come together to bring this world to life, once again. We start shooting in a couple of weeks, and everyone is doing their best to make the fans proud.”
Wow! Just wow. Are you excited to see the original crew returning to another galaxy far, far away?
