There wasn’t a dry eye in the house. But let’s be honest, there was something else that caught our collective eyes that day too: sister and chief bridesmaid Pippa Middleton’s amazing derriere!
As she held Kate’s train and carefully walked up the steps of Westminster Abbey, revealing the intricate buttons on the back of her gorgeous Alexander McQueen dress, we all stared at the most perfectly toned tush we had ever seen. How did she do it?? We all know she is a keen runner and apparently loves yoga, but was that all?
Well I can now reveal that the makers of the very underwear Pippa wore on the day of the royal wedding are none other than Beautiful Bottoms. This British brand was established in 2009 and sells to many British stores, including world famous Selfridges.
It seems new aunty Pippa has remained a loyal fan of Beautiful Bottoms since the royal wedding as she was recently pictured wearing their Wave Silk Wrap, which has since sold out on their website!
Now if you, like me, have a few lumps and bumps that you would like smoothing out underneath fitted clothes — support underwear is the way to go! I can honestly say Spanx revolutionized my life. And my tush. And more importantly, my post-two-kids’ tummy! Who knew that a pair of very, very tight tights can make your whole silhouette look so shapely! Over the years I’ve see so many pics of stars climbing out of cars or attending red carpet events (Katy Holmes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Beyoncé to name a few) who have been wearing some make or other of support underwear. So if the stars use it, then it MUST be good!
As far as I am concerned, a fake tan and a two-day detox can only do so much! That is why for every wedding or event where I have to embrace something a bit figure hugging, my support shorts are at the ready. If you have never tried them, then it’s time you converted! Between those shorts and a good-fitting bra (I need two boobs, not 4), I am a different woman! Trust me, underneath every fabulous outfit, is even more fabulous supportive underwear. The day I once got fitted for a new bra at Rigby and Peller (they fit the Queen of England and most royals), 3 people asked me if I had lost weight. Nope! just got the right bra!
So ladies, for a behind that is as pert as Pippa’s, you know where to get shopping!
