Yesterday I was out for a walk with my son, and we noticed leaves were falling from the trees. I seized the day and turned a literal moment in nature (leaves falling = soon it will be fall) to talk about some changes that will be happening in the next few weeks. For starters, W will switch over from going to summer camp every day to going to Pre-K every day. We will see the temperatures lower and our sleeves lengthen. The daylight we have grown to enjoy in the evening will start to creep into darkness sooner and sooner.
I know there are many more weeks until fall is officially here, but seeing small hints that the season is right around the corner makes me deliriously happy. What is making me especially giddy is hearing about the fall season of TV, and whispers about my favorite TV shows. Recently, Zap 2 It writer Robert Seidman shared his compiled list of the premiere dates for this fall. It was MASSIVE and amazing! So many great shows returning, combined with so many wonderful-sounding new shows to explore.
While the official start of fall is well over a month away, fall TV begins at the very tip top of September. I’m going to claim Jon Stewart as the Grand Marshall of the parade leading us into an autumn of pop culture delight. Jon returns to his desk on The Daily Show on September 3rd. (WOO!) The first week of September brings us the return of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Sunday Night Football, and Boardwalk Empire starts back up on HBO. The following weeks are pretty much like Christmas for TV nerds.
To help any fellow TV lovers out there, I have created the ultimate printable guide to the return of our favorite TV shows this fall. Click on the image below for the size perfect for your fridge or side of your TV console.
