December 21st:

Happy 65th birthday to Samuel L. Jackson! We are dedicating this Entertainment Advent entry to celebrating all things Samuel L. today.

Best Samuel L. Jackson Movies:
The Negotiator: This thriller is my favorite because I so completely get wrapped up in his character every single time I see the film. Samuel L. Jackson plays a Chicago Lieutenant (and hostage negotiator) caught in the middle of an embezzlement scandal. This is one of those films that does a twist well.
Pulp Fiction: Oh yes, as if there could be such a list without this film being on it! Royale with cheese, people.
The Incredibles: There most certainly IS a family friendly Samuel L. Jackson film. Frozone is a fun character in this Pixar film.
Do The Right Thing: It’s not the largest part, but Samuel is perfectly cast as the DJ in this film. Watch him give today’s forecast in Do the Right Thing.

Best Unusual Fact about Samuel L. Jackson:
He used to be Bill Cosby’s stand-in on the Cosby Show. He says, “I was the right height, and I was the right skin tone. We did the blocking, while they did the camera choreography because it was a three-camera show. For two to three years, they would put his crazy sweaters on me.”

Best Unusual Samuel L. Jackson Gift to the Web:
The Samuel L. Ipsum generator. This tool is something that cracks me up when I am in the middle of a project and need to use lorem ipsum (placeholder text) within a design. The site uses quotes from Samuel L Jackson films.
