The April issue of House and Home magazine just came out this weekend and with it a beautiful feature on weekend decorating projects with a floral theme. The styling by Margot Austin (photography by Angus Fergusson) is absolutely stunning. To keep things modern choose florals with saturated colors that are supersized. I was inspired by this feature to do a round-up of other beautiful floral DIY’s and decor ideas I’ve collected. I’ve included them here (and one more from the H&H article —I encourage checking out their April issue which has about 4 or 5 gorgeous ideas like the one above. It can be purchased digitally here). See my round-up of other floral themed ideas/DIY’s below.

Paper Roses 4 of 9Paper roses made from coffee filters would look beautiful in a shadow box perhaps as art, or create a bouquet in a pretty vase.

Hang a Bold Floral Print 5 of 9Here's a simple decor idea, feature a wall hanging in a bold floral print. Hang either by stretching over a canvas or wrap one end with a dowel and hang.

Fabric Decoupaged Dresser 7 of 9
Floral Backdrop 8 of 9Another effective and simple idea. Find a gorgeous floral fabric, (vintage sheet perhaps) and hang on the wall (a bit off center would look awesome)!
Handkerchief Art 9 of 9This clever idea comes from the folks at House and Home Magazine. They used album art frames 12"x12" from Urban Outfitters and then hung a set of 9 in a grid.
