10 Must-Have IKEA Finds I Want to OwnCyd Converse
When it comes to home decor, I find that IKEA tends to be a bit polarizing. Some people seemingly worship the discount Swedish furniture and accessories brand; others loathe its mass market appeal. Truthfully, the nearest IKEA to us is a four hour drive so purchases are slim to none around these parts. I can’t remember the last time I shopped at there, but it was years ago. That said, lately, all I seem to do is fall in love with the Swedes all over again on a daily basis, remiss that I can’t just stroll across town and pick up what I want. So with that said, we’ve finally broken down and are planning a road trip with the exclusive purpose of IKEA shopping in the next few weeks. (Is that sad or awesome? You be the judge!) Here are 10 must-have IKEA furniture pieces and finds I want to own that you’re sure to love, too! (Yes, even if you fall on the loathing side of the fence.)

Blue-Striped Curtains 2 of 11
I can't even believe how high-end these curtains panels look, but I'm crazy about them! The all white look gives them a touch of elegance, while the navy blue stripes makes them more interesting than mundane. And the price? Just $14.99 for two panels — you can't beat that!

Soft White + Gray Bedding 3 of 11
Sticking with the textiles for a moment, I've never paid a ton of attention to IKEA's bedding, much of it not suiting my personal tastes. That said, lately I'm loving a lot of their prints, like this soft white and gray botanical pattern!

Lack Wall Shelf 5 of 11
Our kitchen is tiny and has more than it's fair share of storage woes. I definitely want to pop up a few floating shelves to create some additional functional storage for some of the things we use most - like these in this gorgeous farmhouse kitchen! These shelves are also perfect in bathrooms, living rooms and offices, too.

Utility Cart 6 of 11
I have so many uses for this little utility cart in our home I can't even tell you. In the aforementioned tiny kitchen, in our closet-less bathroom, in my office to collect all those office supplies that seem to run around the room of their own free will. And the price, at just $49.99 is certainly right!

Vittsjo Shelves 7 of 11
If I'm being honest, what our IKEA road trip all boils down to in the end are these shelves. I want a pair for added storage in our living/family/dining room. To display glassware and pretty things, you know. (I love how they're shown here styled for an office!) I've been wanting to buy them and paint them gold for months. They're just too pretty and such a steal at the price!

Fintorp Magnetic Knife Rack 8 of 11
Is it silly to drive four hours to buy a magnetic knife rack? Absolutely. Will I buy one while I'm there? You can count on it! With two cooks in the kitchen on a regular basis I love the idea of having our pretty knives out on display in a way that doesn't eat up our counter space.

While I'm probably not in the market for a new desk, if I were I'd seriously consider this one! I love the trestle legs and the awesome DIY gold leaf treatment is just, well, awesome. This is a classic piece you'd own for years, no doubt.
