There are a lot of big color trends this year — Tangerine Tango orange (the official color of the year), mint green, bright neons, soft pastels. And although I very much agree with Melanie that mint green is everywhere right now, I’m also seeing a lot of this vibrant blue popping up in every single store — from Old Navy to Nordstrom — and in every single department — from beauty to swimwear.
That could be because Pantone named Olympian Blue as one of the hot colors for Fall 2012, yet stores are sneaking it in now for Spring and Summer. You won’t always see it labeled as “olympian blue,” but you’ll recognize it from its brighter, more vibrant cobalt-like hue.
