4 Easy Ways to Decorate for Spring on a Budget

Spring is here, and we are loving it! Unfortunately for me, I still have quite a bit of my winter decorations up, and it’s kind of bumming me out. As I am sure you know, it can be hard to decorate for a new season. Changing things up can not only be creatively draining, but it can also do some damage to your wallet! And for those of us who live on a budget, decorating your home and all the expenses that can come with it might be a deal breaker. But I have good news! There are some easy ways to decorate for spring and still stay on budget!

1. Wreaths

I love wreaths. They are the perfect way to welcome a new season as well as your guests to your home! You can go a variety of ways with a wreath — from lush and green, to floral, to DIY (which I normally do). But this spring I am really leaning toward the lush and green wreath. I love how simple it is while still being festive and new. Perfect for spring, right?

You can buy this wreath here for $49.99.

2. Fresh Flowers

Fresh flowers aren’t generally very budget-friendly. Unless you know where to shop for them, that is. My favorite place to get fresh and gorgeous flowers for spring is Trader Joe’s. They have bunches of some of my favorite flowers like tulips and ranunculus for just a few dollars and they come in such bright and cheery colors! How could I resist? At that low price, you could afford to get new fresh flowers every week and not go over a $25 budget! Nothing says spring more than fresh flowers, right?

3. Paper Flower Garland

Whether you’re having a party or not, a garland will easily turn your home into spring central. There are so many fantastic DIY garlands out there to choose from. I especially love the floral garlands. They are so pretty and simple enough that I can keep them up all season without worrying about them looking “over the top” at all. A little note about making your spring garland — just be sure to use springy colors! Even the green should be lighter than what you would actually find in nature. For some reason, the darker greens make it look more fall-ish, which is pretty much the opposite of spring, right?

4. Throw Pillows

I am a huge fan of throw pillows. They are super easy to switch out and get a completely different look and feel for your living room. To get a spring look, all you need is a pillow or two to lighten up the space. I love the pink color of this pillow — it kind of screams spring, right? A great tip for throw pillows: Try having one pillow and several different cushion covers for that pillow. Covers are so much easier to store when they aren’t in use!

Buy this one here for $12.95 from H&M.
