5 Best Canvas Bags

We all know canvas bags are a great beach accessory. You can throw in your wet suit, sandy towel, as well as food and drink and not worry about ruining the bag. But have you thought about toting one around as your purse or carryall (including a laptop perhaps)? I have a friend that uses one of many of her canvas totes as her work bag in the city and it looks totally chic.

I was inspired to write about canvas totes as I’m approaching my vacation and getting mine all packed up and beach-ready however I also wanted to stress the fact that these totes can parlay their way into your city wardrobe as well. Take this one from Archival Clothing at left here. I love its simplicity. I could see it with all your beach gear packed inside but also could see it worn with a sailor stripe t-shirt and cute skirt with your laptop and other everyday necessities tucked inside. It’s their Steele Canvas Tote and it’s $65. See my other 4 favorites after the jump…

This one from Steven Alan might only fit a few beach items but would be great for your computer and wallet, etc. Would also make a cool man bag for the guy in your life. It’s called the Filson Small Tote and it’s $90.

And of course no canvas bag round up would be complete without the L.L. Bean Boat & Tote Bag. Ranging from $17.95 for small size up to $30.95 for extra large, you can’t beat the timeless style or the price.

Then there’s the Classic Field Bag from Utility Canvas. Comes in ten different colors. It’s $78.

Love the colors on this Land’s End one– The Ragtop Snap Tote. At only $26.99, it’s a steal.
