5-Minute DIY Monogrammed Vase Even a Newbie Could Do

VASE

This is one of my favorite ways to dress up a boring vase. Whether you’re using it for around the house, gifting it to a friend, or using it for an event, this vase is so easy to make and literally takes minutes to finish. If you can find a plain vase at the thrift store, this DIY will cost next to nothing too. It’s a great way to add a personal touch to an otherwise ho-hum vase! I love using contact paper for the decal because it’s not permanent, but it won’t come off of the vase too easily either. I’ve even washed mine (by hand) and the decals have stayed put. I love it! And trust me, you’ll love it too. Let’s get started!

First up, gather your supplies!

Supplies:

-plain vase (trek to your local thrift store for a cheap steal!)
-contact paper
-scissors
-pen
-ruler (optional)

Directions:

Step 1: First, make sure your vase is totally clean and dry. Then grab your contact paper and flip it over. On some contact papers there is a handy grid; if possible, use that. Otherwise, you might want to get a ruler to measure out your letter. Once you have drawn out your letter, cut it out!

Step 2: Next, peel the paper backing from the contact paper and carefully place it onto the vase.

And that’s it! Easy, right? Now go buy your favorite bouquet of flowers to enjoy in your new vase!
