5 Pieces + 2 Accessories = 5 Stylish Holiday Outfits for Girls (and a Target Giveaway)!
As a little girl it was always exciting to pick out new clothes for the holidays. I fondly remember a pair of pink sparkly baby janes that made my heart jump every time I put them on, and it was always so fun to step out in style for all the different occasions. From Thanksgiving to New Years, we counted at least five different times a little girl could be getting dressed up over the next two months, so we thought it would be fun to create 5 different holiday outfits out of 5 pieces of clothing and 2 accessories with a visit to Target. Click below to see what we came up with!

I love dressing my niece in clothes that make her feel confident! Leggings, leg warmers, tights, with boots and skirt or leggings with boots and cute top in whatever bright, festive colors she wants! It’s fun! For the holidays, holiday themed shirts, skirts, tights, everything!
When buying clothes for the holiday season I make sure I get something that they can also wear to school. I then jazz it up and change it up for different parties with accessories.
I always buy Christmas pjs the year before on super clearance after the holidays and put that money towards a better, more special purchase like a faux fur muff or sparkly shoes or perfect but pricey tights.
Always new pj’s for Christmas…holidays are laid back, so new jeans and comfy pullover he can wear to school
Sweater dresses are great. Pair w/ tights, leggings, jeans, tall socks, boots or even flats. Accessorize w/ a sparkly necklace or a scarf & winter hat for a cozy look. So many looks from one dress!
I love little sweaters that you can dress up or down for the Holidays. They’re warm and stylish.
My girls love wearing skirts so I make sure to add a new one each Christmas. Last year I made bright green corduroy skirts. They were perfectly festive for the holiday and a great asset to the their everyday wardrobe for the rest of the year as well.
Any dress with a chunky necklace and pretty headband makes my 3-year-old feel like a Holiday Princess!
I like to get a demin jumper or skirt for my daughter b/c there are so many ways to wear it. And with a few different tops and tights it can be worn throughout the holidays.
A couple pairs of fun tights and cotton dresses make it easy to mix and match with color and festivity! I will take some of Having a girl is way too much fun sometimes;)
With a toddler boy who hates bulky coats, layering with cardigans and pullovers is the name of the game. And a new pair of winter themed pajamas every year is a standing tradition.
I don’t have children but for myself, what I like to do is pair pretty vintage dresses with colorful or patterned tights. I also have a gold sequin 3/4 length little coat that pretty much fancies up every party outfit! When I was a little girl I had some pink sparkly cowgirl boots that I wore every chance I got.
I always buy solid colored bottoms and printed tops that way I mix & match to make many diferent outfits!
I like to dress my little guy in layers during the holidays as it is inevitable that he will get messy (food, mostly) and need to strip some of it off!
I love sweater dresses and tights. They are both comfy and warm for my 5yo. It is easy to them dress up with accessories like a sparkly scarf or shoes and still functions well as daily wear in the cold with coats and boots.
My little one also loves swingy skirts. Tights, boots and top choice can make a simple skirt a cute outfit for either a normal school day or more dressy for a holiday function.
i love alot of scarves and shoe varieties that match a the outfits so they can be very comfortable. I love comfortable sweaters.
for me the trick is getting things in matching colorways. not necessarily the same color, but things that will match – so that we can mix and match the pieces in multiple ways.
my kid is big on comfort too – so things have to be soft – nothing scratchy.
and glittery/sparkly things are always winners !
I don’t have a child yet but I would keep an eye out for sales. And I wouldn’t turn my nose up to nice things at thrift stores.
a lot of leggings and sweaters
I like to let them pick out their own hats and gloves and scarves each winter. Then if they pick fun ones, they love wearing them.
I’m dressing my baby boy in consignment + hand-me-downs, but adding some sequins for the occasion.
I try to keep holiday themed purchases to a minimum and pair them with basics that are already in their wardrobe. Like a holiday bow tie for my son or a headband for my daughter. I try not to go all out and buy expensive outfits

we’ve just got a wee little guy… so i like jazzing up his outfit with bright awesome coloured socks and hats!
I let my kids pick out their shirt and I match with the pants & shoes!
Cute patterned tights is the key for my daughter. They make a single dress wearable for many occasions. My son favors hoodies, so getting a stylish one that is as nice with khakis as it is with jeans, is a big help.
We are lucky and get tons of hand downs for our little guy but I like to buy him cute shoes or a great jacket for some fun!
Sweaters and tights are favorites. Anything that is comfy and warm.
I go stick to mix and match basics tops and bottoms with my son and get different pullovers, sweaters, etc. to layer up with.
I like to dress my kids in leggins or tights with cute but comfy sweater dresses or cotton dresses. That way they look good but are comfortable. I tried “dressy” dresses last year but everyone complained after they got past how good they looked.
