9 Favorite Winter Beauty Essentials

9 favorite winter beauty essentials from Babble.com

Over the past couple of years I’ve become a bit of a product junkie. Well, at least compared to my days of washing my face with whatever face wash was on sale and not worrying about moisturizing daily. Lately I’ve amassed a little collection of tried and true favorites, products I can’t live without. Especially in the super cold winters in my neck of the woods, certain beauty products are just must-haves for me. On the hunt for a new moisturizer or a lipstick to kick up your look? Here are my 9 favorite winter beauty essentials!

  • Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cream 1 of 9
Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Cream
I started using this moisturizer a couple of weeks ago. The oil-free version is perfect for my combination skin, but the formula is deeply moisturizing for my cheeks, which get super dry this time of year. So far it's a win!
Get it for $21.99 from Avalon Organics or locally at Target.
  • Lips in Macaroon 2 of 9
    Lips in Macaroon
I love bright pink lips in the winter when you need an added burst of color and sunshine.
Get it from Topshop for $16.
  • Smith’s Minted Rose Lip Balm 3 of 9
    Smith's Minted Rose Lip Balm
I am so hooked on this stuff. I keep one next to my bed and another stashed in my purse. It's great for a little boost of shine or when your lips just need a little extra buffer from the cold winter air.
Get it for $7 from Sephora.
  • Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado 4 of 9
Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado
This stuff is my wonder cream. The corners of my eyes get really dry and I love how deeply moisturizing this is, while still being light enough to wear day or night.
Get it for $28.50 from Kiehl's.
  • Neutrogena Sheer Block Dry-Touch Sunscreen 5 of 9
    Neutrogena Sheer Block Dry-Touch Sunscreen
I try to be good about wearing sunscreen even in the winter. It doesn't happen every day, but I love this stuff for it's super lightweight formula that doesn't make me feel greasy.
Get it for $9.49 from Neutrogena or locally at Target or drug stores.
  • Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss 6 of 9
    Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss
I own this lip gloss in a few different shades. I love that it's affordable and it looks great either alone or paired over a richer lip color.
Get it for $5.50 from Nyx Cosmetics or at your local Ulta.
  • Essie Armed & Ready 7 of 9
    Essie Armed & Ready
I chose this dark gray shade with just a subtle hint of gold shimmer for my recent manicure and I love it - it's a cool, moody shade for winter!
Get it for $8 at Dermstore or locally at Target.
  • Tarte Cheek Stain 8 of 9
    Tarte Cheek Stain
In the winter I find that powder blush does not work on my skin because it's usually so dry. Tarte's cheek stains are a great alternative, making for a dewy finish. I love the color Blissful!
Get it for $30 from Tarte.
  • Aveda Rosemary + Mint Shampoo and Conditioner 9 of 9
Aveda Rosemary + Mint Shampoo and Conditioner
The smell of this stuff was enough to make me a believer, but it's also really great for my super soft and rather fine hair. It keeps it from getting weighed down and prevents winter static, too!
Get them for $12 each at Aveda or at a local Aveda salon.
