A Family Veteran's Day Activity: Go Out to DinnerMichelle Horton
Here’s a Veteran’s Day activity that requires no crafts whatsoever. All you need is to sit down in an Applebee’s restaurant and have dinner. Why? Applebee’s is giving all veterans and active duty military a free meal on Veteran’s Day, as a sign of their appreciation and gratitude. Even if you’re not a military family, Applebee’s just might be the perfect setting to teach your kids the importance of remembering and honoring the men and women fighting for our country — both past and present.
Besides giving free Veteran’s Day meals, Applebee’s also has online features to further support our armed forces:
Post a message in honor of Veteran’s Day (whether to an active family member overseas, a relative who once served or to countless strangers) on Applebee’s Web site. You can even upload a military photo to Applebee’s Facebook page and Applebee’s just might make it their profile picture!
Happy Veteran’s Day, everyone!
