Summer vacation is coming up and with it, the phrase, “I’m bored.” I think Genevieve West and Laura Clempson’s new book, One Stitch at a Time, will help banish that dreaded phrase from your home.

The book is a illustrated instruction manual that shows kids how to make soft toy animals. It includes templates, step-by-step directions, all the materials and ideas for embellishing finished stuffed animals. The striped scarf and red boots for the teddy bear below are darling.
