Art House Couture for the Kiddie SetElinaMamaista
We all want the best for our kids. The best preschool, the best playmates, the best locally sourced food and produce. And of course, the best kids clothing. We figure: Who knows, maybe an early appreciation for a notched collar could lead to a scholarship at FIT or the chance to open their own art gallery? No wonder today’s mamas are so exhausted. It’s hard too lug our tots around all those openings, obscure boutiques and museums hoping they absorb some of the creative energy.
So when Bobo Choses started peddling their kids clothing from Spain, we saw, we drooled, we wondered. Who are these designers and how did they get such a beautifuly abstract and playful point of view?

“Once upon a time there lived an old donkey on Okinawa Island, who fell asleep every night looking up at the moon…” are the inspirational words on their website.
Combining a fun sensibility with bold graphics and prints, these clothes are the kind that scream, “My parents are cooler than yours.” Not only is the line easy on the eyes, but every piece also comes with a code so you can see where the product comes from and how your purchase contributes to their ACT SOCIAL project.
While the designers’ kids are probably well on their way to becoming the next Dali, it’s only natural to hope your kids get a little Bobo Choses rubbed off on them.
