Beautiful Simplicity

The New General Store is a seasonal pop-up shop and online store that features items with clear utility and a simple, yet beautiful, aesthetic. While a monochromatic color palate of creams and grays has never been my thing (too drawn to color), the way these goods are presented evokes such a clear sense of home, and of fall, that it transcends my usual choices.

The ten vessels piece, as well as the blanket, serving dishes and colander above, showcase the emphasis on utilitarian beauty. Similarly, these teak cutting boards and artisanal glass bottles are just as beautiful waiting to be used as they are functional in use.

What do you think, do you prefer a monochromatic color palette?
