Buy or DIY: Bookish Curtains

I’m going to start by saying that I know this may be too twee for 95% of you. For my bookish nerds with a proclivity for cute though? Oh yes, this is for you.

Drum roll please… book-patterned curtains!

Jacketed Spines Book Curtains

Anthropologie’s Jacketed Spines Curtain is available for $108-148 per panel, depending on the length. Adorable, but pricey. If you can handle sewing a straight line (or can use an iron and some hem tape) you can make your own patterned curtains with Alexander Henry’s Book Fabric. At $9/yard, each panel would be significantly less expensive than the pre-made option, though there would be an additional cost if you plan to line them.

Alexander Henry Book Fabric

I like the look of the first curtains much better — enough to pay for them over the other fabric (if I were in the market for bookish curtains) — but what about you? Would you buy, or DIY?
