Buy or DIY: Woods Wallpaper

This Woods wallpaper by Cole and Sons, available from Anthropologie, is stunning. It’s been around for a while, but it’s still a bold choice that would truly make a room. But at $198/double roll, plus installation and the special paste required, that’s quite an investment.

This birch tree stencil, however, from Cutting Edge Stencils requires an entirely different kind of investment – time. And a little bit of cash of course, the stencil is $65, paint as much as $60 a gallon if you want the good stuff. The process is time consuming, but simple according to Michelle at Four Men and a Lady and Jen at I Heart Organizing.

Which would you choose? Buy the wallpaper or try your hand at the stencil? Either way, it’s a charming and dramatic way to add personality to your home.
