I love it when two beloved classics can come together- in a commercial mash up I might add – and the marriage totally works. A tasteful cross-promotion can be hard to accomplish and it’s even harder to make something that can please generations, creating something that both kids and adults would love. But Converse, they did it. The legendary sneaker maker has created a line of their classic Chuck Taylor All Stars with artwork and inspiration taken from the pages of some of Dr. Suess’ most beloved works.
There are bright red Thing 1 and Thing two high tops and colorful One Fish, Two Fish low tops in addition to ones that simply have the Cat in the Hat peaking from around the heel. But my favorite would be the ones that have hints of the hand drawn style of Dr. Seuss’ illustrations, like the red and white Cat in the Hat inspired low-tops for the kids (above) and the white drawn in looking high tops with the scribble like details for adults (below). And yes, I said “for adults,” although most of the collection is for little feet, there are some styles made for those big kids like you and me.
The kids sneakers range in price from $35 to $45 and the adult versions sell for $55 to $65. Check out the whole line right here!
