If you ever find yourself on the Spanish island of Lanzarote, northwest of Morocco, you’ll definite want to pay a visit to the El Diablo Restaurant. Why, you ask? It’s the only restaurant where they actually cook the food over an active volcano.
If the idea of dining on top of a volcano scares you, there’s no need to worry. The last time the volcano erupted was in 1824. The food is cooked using the heat from the volcano, which bubbles away six feet underneath the surface of the restaurant.
