There are so many philanthropic efforts to help kids on a global level, and while you want to save all of them and help as much as you can, there is something to be said for injecting a little style into the charitable proceedings. In honor of New York fashion week and fashion night out 2010 taking place this week, I wanted to bring attention to this exciting collaboration. Marni, the venerable fashion house that has been creating amazing, one-of-a-kind clothing and accessories and shoes (omg, I die for their shoes) for years, has decided to once again put their fashion muscle behind a great project called the The Children’s Imaginary World.

The totes include images submitted by children from around the world and reflect the diversity of styles found in each of the countries it supports. The proceeds of the project will go to the millions of street children from countries like Brazil, Colombia, Guatemala, Tibet, India, and Sierra Leone to help them sustain and develop their talents. AND: they’ve even included some tees and tanks in case the totes don’t float your boat. This is one fashion mission and cause you can’t afford to sit out.
