When the weekend rolls around I always find myself with a bit more time on my hands to experiment a little more in the beauty department. My usual wash and air dry routine gets elevated a bit and I have more interest in busting out my flat iron or curling iron to do something a bit more playful. This summer my hair has gotten quite long (the longest it’s been in years actually!), so I am loving easy and pretty updos. Braids, top knots, ponytails – I’m loving ‘em all! These looks are perfect for running errands, brunch dates or even just hanging out around home. Why not try a pretty little updo this weekend?
Gibson Tuck
This simple and chic Gibson tuck has become one of my go-to looks for summer. It's polished yet takes just a minute to do! See the tutorial from Sara Lynn Paige.

Braided Top Knot
A big top knot is always an awesome look. Add a braided twist and it's even prettier! See the tutorial at The Beauty Department.

Q: What's the deal with this 'Social Sharing' box I see on articles and videos? What's it do?
A. You can now automatically share with your friends everything you're reading and watching on Babble -- no more extra clicks or updates to inform your friends of the hottest posts and information from your favorite bloggers.
