Eye Candy for your Neck: Vintage Repurposed NecklacesCathy Hale
I love coming across unique items that take my breath away. When I saw the photo of this necklace ensemble my brain screamed, “I want that!” Only later did I realize this is a gazillion necklaces layered for a photo opp, although I would most certainly wear them all at once. If you look closely you’ll see bits and bobs of vintage beads, brooches and earrings. Recycled necklaces, you are divine!

These beautiful necklaces made from recycled vintage jewelry are the creation of GeorgiaPeachez. According to her bio, Ms. Peachez started sewing at the age of eight and her true passion is vintage textiles and vintage sewing supplies.
Recently she has been dabbling in jewelry that features a mixture of costume bling with a twist of slightly shabby. I would never think to put a rhinestone brooch together with an old key to create such a pretty piece. And that’s why I love creative people – they’re so inspiring!
What’s even cooler about these necklaces is there is a great story – or multiple stories – that go with each piece. Who knows what the history is behind each brooch or earring. Based on the stories I’ve heard about my grandmother’s and great grandmother’s jewelry, I can only imagine they are as beautiful as the gems. Find them in her Etsy shop.
