Channel the Roaring ’20s with This DIY Flower and Feather Barrette

Today I’m going to show you how to make this five-minute hair barrette, because sometimes you just need to wear a flower (and feather) in your hair. I have always loved the glamour and style of the 1920s. It was all about glitter and frills back then, and who doesn’t love a bit of that? So, with the “It Girl” of the ’20s in mind, I came up with this easy tutorial for how you can add a bit of bling to your outfit in five minutes.

DIY Flower and Feather Barrette 1 of 5
Check out the tutorial here ...
Supplies 2 of 5
-fabric flower
-feathers
-an alligator clip
-piece of ribbon (the length of the alligator clip)
-piece of felt (the size of the fabric flower)
-hot glue gun
Step 1: Glue the Feathers 3 of 5
Hot glue the feathers to the back of the hair clip.
Step 2: Glue the Felt 4 of 5
Hot glue a circular piece of felt to the feathers and fabric flower.
Step 3: Attach the Clip 5 of 5
Sandwich the top of the alligator clip between the felt back and a piece of ribbon. Hot glue it all together. That's all it takes! Wear it proudly.
