Wow! I don’t have an iPad, but if I did, I’d need to protect it from all the curious hands at my house. These gorgeous iPad covers make me put an iPad a little bit higher on my wishlist. They’re designed by a company called Substrata and they’re made of woods like walnut, zebrano, wenge, African mahogany and maple — I’ve only heard of two of those. : )
They’re not cheap, but they seem to do their job really well. The lid and base are lined with microsuede, the latches close with magnets, they function as an iPad stand in both vertical and horizontal positions, and they leave access to headphone jacks and dock connectors.
What do you think? Are these too fancy to use with children in the house?
You can see another version — with sliding lid, instead of a hinged lid — when you click through.
P.S. — Can’t afford an iPad? Try a Me-Pad instead.
Thanks for the heads up, Kate!
