In general, I am not a loyal Reality T.V. fan. I don’t know much about the Kardashians or the Housewifes of New York—or any city—and the Jersey Shore is simply a place I happen to be heading to today for a long weekend. And don’t get me wrong, I get the appeal. That appeal, coupled with the fact I work in fashion, is why I do enjoy Project Runway, and am looking forward to it’s premiere tonight. I’m also looking forward to a new collaboration debuting this season between Project Runway and Piperlime (a site I love to shop). They are the newest retail partner for the show’s 8th season. Here’s the skinny:
As part of the collaboration, Piperlime has redesigned the series’ “Accessories Wall” by painting it their signature green and loading it with fashionable accessories for the designers to choose from to complete each challenge. They will also feature a shopable version of the “Piperlime Accessories Wall” on piperlime.com giving customers a chance to buy the items featured on the show. “We love shoes. We adore accessories. So it is especially meaningful that this partnership showcases that part of our brand’s heritage,” says Jennifer Gosselin, Piperlime’s General Manager.
Each week, Piperlime will also have exclusive video content from Project Runway, offering behind-the-scenes insight from each week’s challenge winner. The season’s winning designer will have a chance to design and sell an exclusive collection on piperlime.com
Accessories, clothes, fashionistas, drama? Is there a better way to escape reality?
